BODY OF WORK

22 March – 2 April

Shopfront’s flagship Emerging Artist Residency once again culminates in a two-week long festival with works from eight emerging artists. Featuring an array of new works across theatre, interdisciplinary work, soundscapes, film, sculpture and music, artists will explore themes of friendship, adulthood, the female body, aloneness, the capitalisation of wellness, and social constructs.

BOOK NOW

Combining theatre, video and music, Under the Influence is a multidisciplinary work devised by Ana Fenner and Amelia Gilday exploring the intersections of performativity and identity with a focus on gender.

Theatre

A new work comprising sound work and sculpture by Jenna Lewis, exploring themes of gender identity through representations of the body.

Gallery

An immersive sound work by Rachel Seeto and Kaylee Rankin aka SPACEFLOSS, exploring the complex landscape of friendship and how we can document, expand, reduce, abstract and stretch the sonic language of friendship to uncover shared truths.

Gallery
