CATHY NISBET is an experienced fundraiser specialising in business development and donor engagement. 10 years working in media from The Sydney Morning Herald to The BBC gave Cathy business acumen and broad experience in challenging targets, challenging deadlines and challenging market conditions. In 2009 Cathy retrained as a Professional Counsellor with Majors in Child Development and Relationships. During 6 years as Community Development Worker at Kogarah Community Services, Cathy delivered successful community programs with measurable wellbeing and mental health outcomes and produced engaging community events including the annual multicultural dance festival One Billion Rising, Sleep Outs and Food Tours. Since 2018, Cathy has worked as Development Manager at Shopfront Arts Co-op; securing vital funding through grant writing, donor engagement and commercial partnerships. Cathy has a BA (Hons) in Hispanic Studies from Bristol University, a Diploma of Professional Counselling from The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and is a fluent Spanish speaker with a passion for Flamenco.
