The Place Between the Place
After an accident, X awakens in a place of waiting, somewhere between life and death. She comes face to face with projections of her own subconscious, including the Parental Figure, who represents her culture and family trauma, the Virgin Mary, who embodies her feelings around faith, gender and death, and the Inner Critic, the biggest villain of all.
After deciding she’s going to fight to live, X sets out to learn life’s lessons and find all the right answers before it’s too late. As the characters around her morph into her parents, friends, colleagues and lovers, she begins to realise it’s not about having the answers, it’s choosing life even when we don’t have them.
