Ryde Youth Theatre offers a space for Young People aged 8-26 to explore creativity, build confidence, learn new skills and make friends.

Through weekly workshops, we will delve into various aspects of drama and performance, with a focus on collaboration and developing ideas for performance. Together we will create an original work to be performed to the public in October each year.

Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, RYT sessions are currently delivered online.

Our 8 – 14’s group runs on a Monday evening from 5pm to 6pm.

Our 14+ group runs on a Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

When restrictions allow for in person sessions to resume they will run from the West Ryde Hall at 1A Station St, West Ryde.

Workshops are facilitated by experienced and practicing artists from various disciplines including playwriting, devising, film and movement. No previous experience is necessary

All Shopfront workshops are Pay What You Can. This means you can nominate an amount to pay for your enrolment. Our recommended price of $75 is what it would take for us to cover our costs.

Email ryt@shopfront.org.au for more information and to enrol.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in NSW, all our workshops will be held online in Term 4. We are keeping a close eye on the situation, and will update you if there are any changes which will allow for in person workshops.

Ryde Youth Theatre is supported by the City of Ryde.
