Shopfront Scratch Nights are a space for creative artists to come and test out their material in front of a live audience! A space for performers and makers to test, risk, fail, experiment, surprise and have small theatrical adventures.

Thank you to everyone, both audience and applicants, who attended the Members’ Pitch Night. It was an excellent evening, full of fantastic ideas and exciting potential projects! For those of you who missed out, here is a summary of the six pitches we had on the night. Which one do you like best?
- To My Younger Self | 30 April – 3 May
A Shopfront Member Production: To My Younger Self. This new work by Mallory Sedger was selected as the Member Show for 2020 by Shopfront members and staff.
- Planet B | 2 – 5 July
We have 12 years to prevent a global climate catastrophe, can we manage this feat? Planet B is an original piece of verbatim/physical theatre which explores what Young People think and feel about the looming threat of irreversible climate change.
- Never, Ever! | 19 – 22 November
This year we give Junior Ensemble the provocation ‘Metamorphosis’ for consideration when developing their new work. Made up of participants aged 8-14, Junior Ensemble will research, create and rehearse over the last two terms to present this new theatre piece. We’re extremely proud to finally show you Never, Ever!
