● Young People Workshops

Workshops

At Shopfront, we provide a safe space where everyone is welcome and supported to express themselves. Our workshops offer Young People a variety of creative fields to explore, and are a great introduction to the Shopfront community!

Workshops are offered to age groups 8-10, 11-14 and 15-17.

Term dates, costs, and financial support options, including Free Trials, can be found further down the page.

Weekly Workshops

Drama

Have fun creating stories for the stage and developing performance skills. Unleash your imagination amongst like-minded Young People while building your self‑confidence, co-operation, and concentration.

Film-making

Learn how to make your own films, from first concepts to finished edits, while developing communication and teamwork skills. We provide the equipment, you provide the ideas.

Singing

Get your confidence up and learn to sing solo or in a group! Have fun, use your voice and work with others to make wonderful music. No experience necessary!

Technical Theatre

Tackle all the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes of a stage show! Work on sound, lighting and set design, and get hands-on experience as production and stage managers in this workshop, designed for lovers of tech.

Crash Courses

In 2026, we’re offering a variety of smaller workshops, focusing on a different creative subject each term. Shorter than a full term but longer than a one-off, our Crash Courses are just the right size to satisfy a craving for something new!
